Seb Mayer is a London based puppet designer, puppet maker and puppeteer.
In 2023, Seb recreated the journey of the first giraffe in France, walking a full size giraffe puppet 1,000km from Marseille to Paris, inviting people en route to paint her cardboard skin over a 70 days of public performance.
Seb has worked on Wolves in the Walls (2019), Spirited Away (2021, 2024) The Enormous Crocodile (2023) 101 Dalmatians (2022) My Neighbour Totoro (2022) Animal Farm UK tour (2022)
He is currently working as puppet co-designer and co-director on Little Shop of Horrors alongside Daisy Beattie for Christmas 2024. He is also writing a memoir about his journey through France with the giraffe.
